July 2011 |
The chapel remains closed with no entry allowed. There is some damage to the
chapel but it can be repaired. Items from the chapel have been stored for
safe keeping. We have no date as to when the chapel will re-open but will
post any further news here.

Chapel is closed due to 6.3 quake aftershock. No further damage apparent but
chapel will stay closed until inspected by an engineer and assessed as safe.
Friends of the chapel will be notified when the AGM will take place.

The Chapel is re-opened after being closed for more than 4 months following the Christchurch earthquake on the 4th September 2010.

July 2010 |
It will be 100 years since Florence
Nightingale died on August 13th 1910. The Nurses Memorial Chapel are
planning to have a display of her memorabilia from 10th August till the 17th
August. 13th August is International Nurses Day commemorating Florence
Nightingales death. The Chapel will be open as usual Monday - Saturday 1pm -
4pm. We hope to have many items of interest for the public to view.
